14 Feb 2013 - The first time we met. Manhattan Fish Market, Ampang Park

21-23 June 2013 - You came to JB to meet me. I was back for a week so you came for the weekend.

29 Nov -17 Dec 2013 - You came to Sydney! :)

25 January 2014 - Got engaged

1-4 Feb 2014 - Bandung Trip with your friends

3 May 2014 - Got married

29 June 2014 - First take home pregnancy test. Positive!

5 July 2014 - First ultrasound. The baby is only the size of a sesame seed. You call it baby kacang.

10 July 2014 - Bought two books on pregnancy- can't wait to read them :)

Home soon.

In two days, I'll be going home for good and I am actually feeling quite sad. It's quite funny because when I came here 10 months ago, I did not like this place at all. It's expensive, it's hard to get around, and I kept comparing it with Wellington and how I wished I was in Wellington instead of Sydney. But slowly, I grew to like living here but now I have to come home. Oh well, that's life I guess. Maybe in the future ada rezeki I get to go somewhere else? InshaaAllah.  I'm so not looking forward to go back to work haha. Can I just be a student forever please?

Hypnobirthing

When I first found out I was pregnant, one of the first people I told was a colleague here in UniKL. Her name is Dr. A. I knew her because we had to attend a meeting together at one of the institutes. We were talking about random stuff when I suddenly told her about my pregnancy (I have no idea why I told her). She told me how much she loves the process of being pregnant and urged me to find out about Hypnobirthing/Gentlebirthing. She then told me how she made the decision to give birth to her second child using HVBAC - Home Vaginal Birth After Caesarian (read her story here: My HBVAC Hypnobirth Story   One of the reasons she made this decision was because of her traumatic first child birth experience. Alhamdulillah

Just a quick post- I just received back my marks for two of my units. Alhamdulillah, I think I did pretty well. I managed to get a Distinction (which is equivalent to an A grade) for Sociology and Education, which is still a huge surprise for me because I sucked at Sociology during my Alevel years (not even kidding, I used to get Cs all the time and my final result for Sociology for Alevels was also a C). Alhamdulillah a Distiction is more than I had expected so I'm very happy! I was actually very worried about this particular unit because the context is very Australian. All my assignments had to do with the Australian education system so I had to learn it from scratch. The unit also only had three on-campus classes and most of the time we had to do a lot of independent learning and listen to online lectures.
